Monitoring industry and client content

Staying top of industry news, your company’s news, news about your clients and your potential leads can basically consume your entire day. You can quickly become snowed under from the sheer amount of daily blogs, pictures and updates that you should probably be reading. Set up Google Alerts or use a software application, such as Hootsuite, which can automate this process for you. This way, you will have all the content you need in one spot and get notifications when something relevant is posted online.

Tweeting, Facebook updates and LinkedIn posts

As a social seller, you need to be active on social media and this means you can’t post once or twice a week. While the frequency of your updates might be different for the various social media platforms, some of this work can also be automated for you. Use Buffer or Hootsuite to schedule posts in advance so that your name will appear in your followers’ social media feeds, even if you’re in meetings and on the road all day. The great thing about these tools is that you can get insights about your top performing posts, follower engagement and re-sharing.
