Tell the World All About Your Brand with a Facebook Business page

Is a Facebook Business Page still a valid social selling option that will work for you?

Not all business names immediately tell us what their company offers. When searching for Pages like yours, your About section’s short description is previewed on the left-hand side of your Page. Write a brief description that gives readers an idea of what you do. Include the link to your website or landing page within the short description to improve the ease with which information of the particular offer or content page can be found.

Located below your profile picture, the full About tab is often the first-place new viewers go to. Give extra attention to this section to show how your products or services may benefit customers.

Optimize Your Updates 

Facebook boasts over 1.71 billion monthly active users and 1.13 billion daily active users, with a 16% increase year-on-year, and a record 77% ownership of all social logins. Surely this makes it an ideal (and free) social media platform on which to punt your offerings. To grab more space on a viewer’s newsfeed, add an SEO-savvy description every time you post on Facebook, share the content, or upload a picture.

Be Responsive 

Consumers are getting more and more impatient. Respond quickly to messages – a 90% response rate within 15 minutes for seven days in a row – and earn your Page a “very responsive to messages” badge which appears below your cover photo. What better way to show (and not only tell) prospects that your company is customer-centric?

Get Verified 

When Facebook has confirmed the authenticity of a Page, either a blue badge   (for a public figure, media company, or brand) or a grey badge   (for a business or organization) is displayed. As these cannot be bought, it is another advantage of using Facebook as part of your social selling plan – it adds credibility on your behalf.
